Review of Grande Automotive by Johanna Au

Do not bring any business to this man. Doug is the owner and operator. He's a liar and a cheat! My father brought in his 2007 Mazda 3 to a church friend Doug who owns Grande Automotive for a quote. After the thorough assessment and number crunching on the computer, Doug promised my dad $1500 for the car. The car had a high mileage and old age wear issues, he didn't think it was worth finding buyers through internet posts. On Thursday dad dropped the car off to Doug and said he didn't have enough cash on hand and the full amount would be owed to my father when he saw him at church on Sunday. On Sunday he gave my dad $500 for the car. He claimed that the car had many more problems. If my dad wasn't satisfied with that, then he said my dad can take the car back. Who conducts business in this fashion?! The sale is final and the money owed was on good faith as a favour to a fellow church friend. At the end of the day, my parents could care less about $1000. But I'm doing my due diligence to save others from his bad business practices.
