Review of Gardewine North by Ryan
Today I had a terrible experience with one of your drivers. I work in a warehouse and we constantly have freight coming in and going out through out the day. Today, a gardening driver came to drop off a crate. He came in and started doing his own business backing his trailer up and opening the bay door to unload the truck and what not. Then I sign the way bill that he brought over to me. Next I notice that he has pulled away from the loading doc leaving the bay door wide open and not doing up the safety chain, not only is the door open but the freight he has just unloaded directly underneath the door so that I can not be closed. Now there is a hazard and a potential for injury. So I move the freight immediately and close the door. I go to the truck after this just to let him know that he can't just leave the loading dock with a door wide open because of the potential for injury and hazards. The driver acted as though it was not his job to ensure this happened and said there was freight in the way and when I suggested to move the freight in the way he said that it wasn't his job, so I told him to ask one of the 6 people working in the warehouse. To move it and we wouldn't mind. The entire time he was trying to shift the blame and all I wanted him to understand was the safety risk that he created as to not do it again; but he was so defensive he would not accept that it was his fault or that he did anything wrong. My safety is very important and so are my coworkers, and if a transport driver who works loading and unloading at different company's doesn't acknowledge that then I am very displeased disgruntled and offended with my last experience.
