Review of Cooksville Lumber Co by Harry cole

On July 11/09 purchased 12 sheets of Marine Plwood along with other building material including water sealant. I was reconfiguring my above ground swimming pool and was using the marine plywood as the walls for the pool. After 5 years all the boards showed significant signs of mold and wood rot with 3 boards bowing out. When advised of this and asked to attend and investigate, Cooksville refused to do so. Cooksville stated that Marine Plywood is not for exterior use but for indoor use, and not to be used in wet or moist conditions! I had replaced these boards on 2 prior occasions each time using marine plywood, the first time was after 22 years with no significant wood rot forming. The second time was after 19 years, again with no significant wood rot forming. Cooksville denied compensation, refused to provide name of the supplier of the plywood till 13 months later, after a small claim action was brought forward. The invoice provided from the "supplier" was unable to be verified. The small claim action is presently before the court in Brampton. Cooksville's stance that Marine plywood is only for outdoor use is ridiculous and these people are in the business of selling wood products!
